How Long Does A Bikini Wax Last?

How Long Does A Bikini Wax Last?

Waxing is a common process for every woman. In fact, more and more men are prepared to get a wax job in order to look better.

Unlike shaving, it is a cosmetic procedure that yields longer-lasting results. After waxing, your hair will not grow for at least 4 to 5 weeks.

There are several factors affecting its growth, such as your personal hair growth cycle, daily breakage, and waxing frequency.

Stages of hair growth

We recognize 3 stages of hair growth: growing, resting, and transitional.

The growth phase is the most common one. In fact, the majority of your hair will be in this phase after getting a wax. The transitional phase accounts for 2 to 3 percent and resting for 10 to 15.

So, what does that mean? Even when you get a wax and completely remove hair from your body, there will be a lot of hair growing underneath your skin; you just won't know it's happening. Sometimes, this hair will be above the skin but will be hardly noticeable.

Waxing is not a permanent solution, and neither can it remove all the hair. Smaller follicles will not be affected, for example. As time goes by, these hairs will be more noticeable, and you will be able to remove them with either a razor blade or wax.

Keep in mind that follicles grow differently depending on where they're located. Growing, transitional, and resting phases vary for different parts of the body. Sex also has an impact on how quickly they'll grow, but we also need to mention factors such as season, age, hormone levels, genetics, etc. There is obviously much more going on than we know!

So, how often should I wax?

Because of all of this, it is hard to predict how much time you will need until the next waxing. If your friend waxes every month, and you do it every 2 months, this isn't a cause for concern! It is simply different for different people, and you need to find your ideal schedule.

The best way to be sure is if you get waxed regularly. Go to your salon every 2 or 3 weeks, and you won't have to worry about any hair sticking out. That way, you will always have a nice bikini line during the summer. Unlike shaving, constant waxing can weaken the roots making your hair much weaker. That way, you will be able to postpone your future waxing even longer.

Constant waxing causes damage to follicles. In some cases, hair in a particular area will stop growing altogether. But, you shouldn't be counting on that as it may never happen. Like with the speed of hair growth, there are various factors that may affect this.

Ideally, you would like for each hair to be removed completely. No fuss, no issues, and no regrowing. Alas, you shouldn't count on it. Instead, you will have to accept the fact that you will have to continue waxing your bikini area in the future. Among others, this can also be affected by the technician's skills.

Anyway, waxing is not something we should avoid!

Having nice-looking legs is very important for our confidence, so make sure to go to the beauty parlor regularly.
